Biography

About

I am a photographer and broadcast cameraman with over 15 years of experience of covering current affairs, human interest and politics.

With a permanent base in Africa I can be booked as a local from either London, Johannesburg or Nairobi.

Specialities

Editorial, News, Documentary, Advertising, Corporate, Sports PR, NGO, Hostile Environments.

Whether working as a stills photographer with celebreties, as a lighting camera man as part of a crew or as a complete one man band producing, directing, shooting, editing and reporting - I am used to working under tight deadlines, on difficult stories in remote locations and hostile environments, with an in-depth understanding of the needs and wishes of both my clients and subjects.

I am an upbeat, driven character always thriving to go that little bit further, whilst still making my subjects and colleagues feel at ease.

I have consistently delivered powerful reports with engaging characters for major broadcasters in the US and the United Kingdom.

Fluent in five languages, persevering and equipped with a sharp eye and journalistic instinct I have covered the war in Iraq, Afghanistan, DR Congo (first interview with Laurent Nkunda on British Television for Channel 4), Haiti as well as Ethiopia, Somalia, Uganda and Kenya.
